Services begin at 9:30 and 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings. We have unique activities for each hour in our Children’s Ministry (Infants-5th grade). Because many are choosing to plant roots in the Collin County area, Frisco ISD is at the top of the fastest growing school districts in the state and nation growing by 10-30 percent annually the past 12 years. Children programs will always be a vital part of our church.
>Our Aspiration: To give children a first impression of church that is a lasting impression. We desire to partner with parents in laying the foundation of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We want our children to develop heads that think biblically, hearts that are tender and hands that are helpful to others.
Safety: We want you to have a peace of mind, as well as provide the safest environment for your children. All of our volunteers have gone through detailed screening and background checks as well as training for their area of ministry.
Security: All guests and members are asked to check-in at the children’s kiosk in the main foyer. Birth-4 years are assigned a security check-in/out tag. Each visiting child receives a unique security tag # that will be used as needed during service time (#will be flashed on the screens during service) and at pick-up. If you are attending both services you will only need to check your child in at the beginning of the first service and pick up at the end of the second service. Our process does not require you to checkout between services.
Promotion: Infants promote from the nursery into the “Wee Ones” class after they have started walking. The children’s area promotes every September, Pre-school (according to birth date by Sept. 1) and Kindergarten–5th grade (according to current grade level).
9:30am Kid’s Program Overview:
- Toddlers-Kindergarten: will watch Bible stories and truths come to life through puppetry, dramatic story telling and praise and worship. The focus will be simple Bible concepts (God loves me, God wants me to be a good friend, etc) that will engage the children and encourage them to practice in their own lives.
- 1st-3rd Grade: will join their parents or class for worship in the sanctuary and then will be dismissed to go to class prior to the sermon. During this time they will learn Bible stories and concepts that are developmentally appropriate through puppetry and dramatic story telling. They will learn the importance and relevance of God’s word in their lives.
- 4th-5th grade: will join their parents or class for worship in the sanctuary and then will dismissed to go to class prior to the sermon. During class they will focus on core Bible knowledge and developing good habits (daily Bible reading and prayer). These pre-teens will be encouraged to learn where the books of the Bible are located, who wrote each book and to memorize verses in a fun, engaging environment
- 1st-5th Summer Series: These two classes will team up and study the lessons in the life of Nehemiah. As a hands-on visual aid, we will be building the walls of Jerusalem as we walk through this study.
11am Kid’s Program Overview:
- Toddlers-Kindergarten: will learn about God and the Bible through interactive stories and hands on activities. Each age group (promoted by school year) focus on one Bible story or concept per month and all activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate and fun!.
- 1st – 3rd grade: will learn about God’s love and what our response should be to Him. We strive to learn these things through music, games, film, crafts and building relationships with one another.
- 4th-5th grade: participate in lessons and activities designed just for pre-teens. Preteens are in a transitional period of development. No longer fully engaged by methods effective for middle elementary kids, but not quite ready for full-blown teen programming, preteens are ready for leaders who aren’t afraid to get into their world, while giving space for their growing personal faith and leading with a shepherd’s heart. We use the SuperStart curriculum to accomplish the goal of reaching each child and guiding them along the way.
Special Programs: Throughout the year, we offer additional opportunities for your children to grow and connect such as summer camps, movie day, etc. Check the calendar link for upcoming dates.
