After high school, I went to Oklahoma State University (Go pokes!) where I majored in fraternity life (FIJI) and Broadcast Journalism. After college I worked for Young Life, (www.younglife.org), an outreach ministry to high school kids. I was on staff for 5 years, including one year in Ethiopia and 4 years in Ponca City, OK. Both experiences were incredible in different ways and helped shape me and my philosophy of ministry. I married Elizabeth, in March 2007, and our son, Braxton, was born in August 2009. I completed my Masters degree in Systematic Theology from Dallas Seminary in 2007. I am excited to be working with my friend and mentor, Mel, and loving the direction of our church.

Passion: My passions are leading, teaching/preaching, and being a friendly influence in people’s lives – challenging them to greater intimacy with Jesus and greater influence in their world for Him.

Bio: I became a follower of Jesus at the age of 8 after I woke up and knew I needed Him to save me. I’m a coach’s kid, so I’ve moved all over West Texas. Towns like “Earth” and “Winters” Texas. Yes, you could say I’m from the sticks. :) I attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX, or as commonly referred to by the Church of Christ “Hardin-Sinners.” I have had the privilege of serving in various ministries throughout the years. I was hired as a youth intern for a church in Abilene and was active in the BSM (Baptist Student Ministries). I met Andrew while in college after we were both asked to be part of a worship band (drumming & singing) that would travel to Taiwan to minister to university students and lead worship seminars for Taiwanese worship leaders (see Andrew’s bio!). Andrew & I were great friends for 2 years before we dated for another 2 years, but have been playing together since that mission trip to Taiwan 11 years ago. I am so thankful to have been married to my best friend for nearly 7 years and I am constantly amazed at how God has blessed me in my role as a step-mom to Andrew’s beautiful daughter, Caroline.

Bio: I was born and raised in Denison, TX and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood from Texas Christian University. I married my wonderful, intelligent husband after graduation and taught first grade. After we had Raimie, I was privileged enough to stay home for a year, but missed working with young children and I soon found Kidz World at Fellowship of Frisco. I taught the Transitional Kindergarten class for two years and then became the Assistant Director under my wonderful boss and friend, Lori Andrews. In August of 2009, I was approached about the Director of Children’s Ministries position and after prayer and family discussion I decided to jump on board! I have been blessed by this opportunity to work and grow with such amazing people..

Passion:My desire is to partner with families so that a child’s foundation is strong. I strongly believe that we mold a child’s perception of school and church from a young age. The first impression that we give them is what they hold onto for years to come. I want church to be a fun, loving and safe place for children to learn about Jesus.

DREAM GETAWAY: I would love to visit Italy

Bio: I am currently very blessed and humbled to be the director at Kidz World. My husband of 25 years and daughter who is 11 have lived in Frisco for the last 8 years. In the little bit of spare time that I have, I enjoy going to Dallas Cowboys games. I also coach my daughter’s volleyball team and love watching her select soccer team play.

I attended Utah State University and found myself in the insurance and risk management field. My husband and I lived in California for a few years where both of us worked for the Walt Disney Company. Being blessed with our daughter’s birth in California we decided we wanted to move back to Texas because of the family atmosphere and we were drawn to Frisco. My heart has always been and directed me to work with children. So, once back in Texas I decided to leave my corporate life behind and focus on my desire to work with children.

I have been a part of Kidz World since the inception. This year we are celebrating our 5th anniversary. I have held many different teaching positions, administrative and now the role as director. Our staff is made up of a amazing Christian women and we make such a great team.
